LEWISTON – Police arrested a dozen concert-goers by midnight Sunday, giving them metal handcuffs rather than the heavy-metal music they came to hear at the Colisee.

Lewiston Sgt. David St. Pierre said most of the fans who were rounded up were charged with disorderly conduct or criminal trespass. Others were charged with furnishing drugs. One woman was arrested on a domestic abuse charge after an officer witnessed her beating up her male partner.

Three metal bands sold out the Colisee – Korn, Mudvayne and 10 Years. The Colisee hired 40 to 50 security officers and brought in a dozen extra Lewiston cops to help patrol the concert, which was still going at midnight.

St. Pierre said the number of arrests was higher than usual for a city concert.
