Looking good

LEWISTON – “Look Good … Feel Better,” the American Cancer Society’s program for assisting women who are faced with appearance changes resulting from cancer treatment, will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 19, at the Central Maine Medical Center Sam and Jennie Bennett Breast Care Center, 12 High St., Suite 103.

Lodge meeting

WALES – Webster Lodge 164, AF and AM, of Wales and Sabattus, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the Wales Grange and Webster Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road.

Communications will include petitions, membership participation, preparations for the upcoming session of Grand Lodge and discussion of Masonic topics. Members are invited to participate in the evening events. All Master Masons are welcome. Refreshments will follow the meeting.

Pomona day

AUBURN – Androscoggin Pomona Grange will hold a degree day on Saturday, April 22, at Danville Junction Grange. The first four degrees will be worked beginning at 4:30 p.m. A light lunch will be served around 6.

Any grange that has candidates waiting to take the degrees are welcome to bring them. Contact Wayne Sherman, master of Androscoggin Pomona Grange, at 375-8842.

Ground-breaking

AUBURN – The East Auburn Baptist Church will hold a ground-breaking ceremony on its Park Avenue campus at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22. On-site parking is limited. There will be a shuttle from the Auburn Mall parking lot near the Turner Strret entrance beginning at 10:15.

Cemetery meeting

AUBURN – The annual meeting of the Danville Pine Street Cemetery Association will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at the home of Joseph Theriault, 280 Old Danville Road. All lot owners and interested parties are welcome.

Free screenings

MONMOUTH – The Monmouth School System will offer free screenings for all 4-year-old children to identify those who may be eligible for free preschool programs. Call the Henry L. Cottrell School at 933-4426 for an appointment. Screening dates are Monday and Tuesday, May 8 and 9.

Final supper

LEWISTON – The Holy Cross Council 12652, Knights of Columbus, will hold its final bean supper of the season from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, in the church basement, 1080 Lisbon St. Cost is $6 a person; $3 for age 12 and under.
