FRYEBURG – The Fryeburg Fish and Game Association Inc. will sponsor a personal protection course at the basic level from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 13, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 14, taught by Ian Tait, an NRA certified pistol instructor.

Classes will be held at the American Legion Hall, and all shooting will be done at the Fish and Game Range, Fish and Game Road off Route 113.

Tait is also a certified rifle instructor and personal protection instructor and has taught the courses in Maine and Massachusetts. Safe handling of firearms will be stressed at all times. Loading and unloading, shooting stances and sight pictures will be discussed.

A variety of handguns and all ammunition will be provided by Tait.

Cost will be $75 for first member of a family and $65 for each additional family member. Preregistration is required. To register or for more information, contact Jim Holt at 935-2625.
