LEWISTON – Mallory Long scored six goals and Kelsey Rodrigue added five to power Lewiston to an 18-8 victory over Edward Little in a girls’ lacrosse game.

Amie Daniels chipped in three goals, while Lindsay Dostie, Steph Belanger, Kelsey Cote and Michelle Rancourt also scored for Lewiston (3-5). Brittany French led the Red Eddies (2-6) with three goals, while Beth Esponette scored twice. Scoring single goals were Karen Leary, Liv Welch and Liz Barclay.

Mary Lebanc stopped eight shots for the Devils, while EL’s JoJo Hughes had 11 saves.

Oxford Hills 16, Lincoln 6

SOUTH PARIS – Kari Pelletier scored a game-high four goals to carry Oxford Hills to a 16-6 victory over Lincoln in girls’ lacrosse action Monday.

Hillary Aube, Maredith Dieira and Jamie Brett each scored three goals for the Vikings (3-4). Brook Mason also netted a pair of goals for Oxford Hills.

Softball

Lewiston 3, Mt. Ararat 0

TOPSHAM – Lewiston’s starting pitcher Danielle Willey pitched a two-hit shutout with five strikeouts and only two walks as the Blue Devils defeated Mt. Ararat 3-0 in a KVAC softball contest on Monday.

Brittany Nadeau hit a two-run single in the fourth and had an RBI-single in the sixth for Lewiston (6-5).

Megan Arsenault had a single for Mt. Ararat (3-7).

Jay 4, Mountain Valley 3

JAY – Freshman Katie Hall went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and scored the game-winning run to lead Jay to a 4-3 victory over Mountain Valley in 12 innings.

Hall led off the 12th with a double, move to third on a single by Kristen Adams, then scored on a single from Tasha Hebert for the game-winning run. Adams and Hebert finished with two hits apiece for Jay. Senior Felicia Floyd threw all 12 innings, scattered four hits and four walks, and had eight strikeouts for the Tigers. Desiree Castonguay played great defense at third base for the Tigers.

Stephanie Gallant had two hits for Mountain Valley.

Lisbon 23, Wiscasset 6

WISCASSET – Soleil Mathieu collected four hits and five RBIs as Lisbon dominated Wiscasset 23-6 over five innings in MVC softball.

Siobhan Riordan had three hits and four RBIs for the Greyhounds (8-3), and Vickie Osmond had two hits and knocked in four runs. Emily Moore (4-3) pitched the win, striking out six.

Lauren Litter had a pair of hits for Wiscasset, including a triple in the fourth inning. Megan Foye had three hits.

Livermore Falls 6, Georges Valley 5

THOMASTON – Whitney McDaniel had an RBI single in the top of the seventh and scored the winning run on a wild pitch as Livermore Falls rallied for a 6-5 squeaker over Georges Valley in MVC play.

McDaniel’s hit plated Taryn Flagg, and Janica Wiley followed with a single and scored a run.

McDaniel was also the winning pitcher (5-4), scattering four hits in the victory. Flagg had two hits, and Cashlin Branish had a single and a double for the Tigers (5-4).

Ashley Geel had a pair of hits for the Buccaneers (5-3), and Alley Watts had an RBI single.

Brunswick 9, Edward Little 0

AUBURN – Jess Timmerick pitched a complete game shutout as Brunswick downloaded a 9-0 win over Edward Little in KVAC softball action Monday.

The Dragons (8-1) jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning, while Timmerick held the Red Eddies (2-8) to six hits over seven innings. The catcher Mykell Barnies chipped in with a double for Brunswick.

Alyssa Levesque had a strong outing at the plate, contributing three singles for Edward Little in the loss.

Monmouth 16, Boothbay 0

MONMOUTH – Jen Lola had two hits, three RBIs and a home run in the fourth to lead Monmouth to a 16-0 victory over Boothbay in varsity softball action Monday.

Alyssa Morin also added two hits and three RBIs for Monmouth, while Brittany Hilton also had two hits and drove in a run.

Kayla Chick gave up one hit and one walk with 9 strikeouts to pick up her sixth win on the mound for the Mustangs (6-1).

Mt. View 10, Oak Hill 6

FARMINGDALE – Jenna Caler had two hits, including a double and an RBI to heko Mt. View to a 10-6 victory over Oak Hill.

Allison Abrahamson, Cassandra St. Clair and Felicia Story all had two hits for Mt. View. Stephanie Meheuren hit an RBI-triple for the Mustangs.

Oak Hill’s Megan Blais and Nikki Doustou each hit a triple.

Hebron 13, Gould 1

BETHEL – Sarah Irish spun a one-hitter with three strikeouts, five walks, and one run allowed to improve to 7-1 as Hebron pounded Gould 13-1 in prep school softball.

Tiffany Bichrest had a double and two walks to score three runs for Hebron (7-3), and Amy Shackford and Katherine Cole each scored a pair of runs.

Allison Cummings took the loss for Gould.
