TOPSHAM – State Police say a Topsham man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-car crash on Interstate 295 in Topsham. Troopers said 44-year-old Harold Weisbein died after his car overturned in the median near the Topsham exit. Investigators say Weisbein’s car was struck from behind in the northbound lane by a second car driven by 51-year-old John P. Allen of Bath.

Allen sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Portland. Both men were alone at the time of the crash which took place about 4:45 p.m. The crash remains under investigation.
