AUBURN – The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston is offering a Lifeguard Certification course to be held on the following dates: May 30 and 31; June 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15.

Combined classroom and pool time will run approximately 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on each night. Prerequisites for the class include a 500-yard swim and a minimum age of 15.

Upon completion of the course, lifeguard certification and first aid are good for three years, and CPR certification expires after one year.

Fee is $200, including course materials. Registration is now open, but class size is limited to eight students.
