LEWISTON – Announcement is made of the engagement of Sarah Smith of Rockland and William Pearce of Lewiston.
The future bride is the daughter of Jeanette Abshire of Warren and H.L. and Mary Maker Jr. of Owls Head. She is a 1996 graduate of Medomak Valley High School and is employed at the Navigator Motor Inn in Rockland.
The future bridegroom is the son of Judith and Charles Baker of Woburn, Mass. He is a 2001 graduate of the University of New England with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. He is currently employed at Verizon Wireless in Augusta.
A spring 2007 wedding is planned.
