LEWISTON – The Young Professionals of the Lewiston Auburn Area recently hosted its second networking event. Held at Lost Valley in Auburn and sponsored by Lost Valley and Oxford Networks, it drew more than 70 young professionals.
The group gathers for several reasons, but most importantly for personal and professional development and fulfillment, according to YPLAA Chairwoman Kristen Cady of the Sun Journal. YPLLA works to establish a vibrant connected young professional community, and to develop members, position them for new career opportunities, and engage them to make the area a better place.
YPLAA has a membership of more than 200 members actively involved in the following subcommittees: Communications, Personal & Professional Development, Making Connections, and Networking. YPLAA is a program of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce and is led by an 11-person young professional steering committee.
