PARIS – The Oxford Hills Human Resources Roundtable will hold its monthly lunch meeting on Thursday, Sept. 14, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Western Maine University and Community College Center at 232 Main St.
The meeting is open to all human resources professionals as well as anyone who manages employees. There is no charge for the meeting and attendees are welcome to bring their lunch.
The topic will be “The Maine Act to Care for Families.” The act was passed by the Legislature and became effective Sept. 17, 2005. It applies to all public and private employers with 25 or more employees and allows employees to access paid leave to care for ill family members.
The session will be presented by James “Allie” McCormack, a founding member of Taylor, McCormack & Frame attorneys in Portland.
