In their younger days, they both played TV docs. Now, Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Seymour are heating things up together on the small screen.

Seymour is set to appear on the Oct. 23 episode of “How I Met Your Mother” playing one of Marshall’s law professors, a sexy divorcee. For reasons that probably best make sense in his own mind, Barney (Harris) decides it would be legendary to seduce the prof so that Marshall can receive better grades.

Lynch joins Stiller’s CBS pilot

Familiar comic foil Jane Lynch has joined the cast of CBS’ untitled comedy project from Christine Taylor and Ben Stiller.

The show is loosely based on Taylor’s life. The “Brady Bunch Movie” and “Dodgeball” star will play an actress who has made it in Hollywood and is married to a movie star but still has ties to her hometown, mostly in the form of relatives who are very much involved in her life.

The pilot was written by Ajay Saghal wrote the pilot and will direct along with Taylor’s husband, Stiller, who will also direct.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lynch will play the mother of Taylor’s character.
