AUBURN – The Small Business Institute at Central Maine Community College is offering “Effective Marketing Strategies” (SBI 018-01) on Tuesday, Oct. 10, “Financing Your Small Business” (SBI 004-01) on Tuesday, Oct. 17, and “Managing Your Small Business” (SBI 028-01) on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Each workshop runs from 9 a.m. to noon and costs $25.

“Effective Marketing Strategies” will explore marketing strategies and options for low cost and no cost marketing. “Financing Your Small Business” will cover the basics, including what a banker needs to know about a business, what funding options are available and how to choose the right funding source.

“Managing Your Small Business” will show how to use the 10 key attributes that a great leader must have and how to manage and lead a company to greatness.

The workshops will be facilitated by Van Perry. Perry is regional vice president for Northeast Bank, responsible for commercial loan development in Lewiston and Auburn. He has been in the commercial lending field for more than 16 years, with prior positions at FAME, Farm Credit of Maine and Key Bank.
