LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will meet at noon Thursday, Nov. 2, to hear a presentation by Rotarian Sylvia Plourde regarding Rotary Foundation programs.

Plourde is a past president of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club, serves Rotary International’s District 7790 as chairwoman of the Group Study Exchange Program and assistant district governor.

Plourde will discuss and explain various Rotary Foundation educational and humanitarian programs, as well as bring the club’s members up to date on the Polio Plus program. Her presentation will also include the methods by which contribution programs utilized by the foundation assist those in need locally and around the world.

The club meets at noon on Thursdays at the Ramada Inn. Anyone wishing to hear the speaker or to learn more about Rotary is welcome to attend. Weekly buffet luncheons are $8 a person. Access the club’s Web site at www.lewistonauburnrotary.org for more information.
