Retired workers
LEWISTON – The National Active Retired Federal Employee Association will meet at 1130 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Ramada. Speaker will be Josha Hicks from Blue Cross.
Plans for the meeting were made at the home of Vi Dumais. Attending were Sue Stetson, Mike and Flo Bohunicky, Doris Hamel and Joanne Morse.
Society meeting
POLAND – The Poland Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Old Schoolhouse next to the Poland Town Office, Route 26. The meeting will be preceded by a potluck supper at 6 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
Art club speaker
AUBURN – The Auburn Art Club will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at the High Street Congregational Church. Members are encouraged to bring guests.
Speaker will be Angela Stockwell of the Margaret Chase Smith Library in Skowhegan. In 1983 she became Sen. Smith’s personal secretary. At present her responsibilities include tour guide, staff photographer, newsletter coordinator and librarian.
Hostesses for the program will be Barbara Randall, Bonnie Ross, Annie Ray, Joyce Campbell and Elaine Sylvester.
