WATERVILLE – Brandi Rideout, a 2006 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, has joined the women’s basketball staff at Colby College as an assistant coach.

Rideout was a captain of the women’s basketball team at Farmington this past winter, leading the Beavers to a conference championship and the school’s first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Rideout made 21 starts for the Beavers, averaging 5.6 points per game during her senior year. She received her undergraduate degree in community health during UMF’s commencement excercises on May 13.

Rideout joins fellow assistant Matt Sidom, who is entering his second year with the Mules. She will handle a variety of duties, including scouting, program development, strength and conditioning and recruiting.
