JAY – The Daughters of Isabella met Nov. 8 at St. Rose of Lima Church Hall. Chancellor Laurianne Castonguay read the opening prayer and led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Roll call was taken by Jackie Castonguay.
The Knights of Columbus joined the D of I to celebrate a Mass for the deceased members of both clubs on Nov. 19 at St. Rose of Lima Church. A dinner was held at the church hall after the Mass. Each D of I committee member was asked to give two pies, which were served as dessert. This occasion took the place of the Nov. 22 social.
Father Roger Chabot has been invited as a guest to the Daughters of Isabella Christmas party at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at LaFleur’s Restaurant. The price is $18. For reservations, call Shirley Couture at 897-3775 or Laurianne Castonguay at 897-4818.
Couture is collecting items for the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. Those wishing to donate may contact Couture at 897-3775.
