St. Dom’s students have artwork in show
AUBURN – Carla Henault, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerard Henault of Lisbon, and Deidre LaCouture, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard LaCouture of Lewiston, were selected as artists of work submitted by high school students from around the state for an art show at Julia’s Gallery for Young Artists in Rockland.
Julia’s Gallery is affiliated with the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, and the high school program for students is supported by the museum. Julia’s is student-run and produces two shows each year that the students in the Rockland area jury, frame and communicate though press releases, advertising and mailings.
The show theme was “BOLD,” and the submissions to the show were to be expressing some aspect of the theme.
Henault and LaCouture submitted works in pastel that were colorful and quite large. Their work was a standout among the entries. They are seniors at St. Dominic Regional High School.
