AUBURN – The Swampdonkeys, a local band that incorporates styles of old-time, bluegrass, Irish, and modern rock, will perform Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Auburn Public Library.

Hailing from the Auburn and Poland areas, band members are Jonathan Dawson on bass; John Gunn, banjo; Michael Hayashida, guitar and viola; and Ted Tibbetts, mandolin and guitar.

From “I’ll Fly Away,” to “Apeman” and even “Bob The Builder,” their high-energy folk music appeals to a wide audience – offering a rich texture of instruments, four-part harmonies, and plucky, playful songwriting.

The library invites children and families to this celebration of homemade music, beginning at 2 p.m. in the Androscoggin community room.

For more information, call the children’s department at 333-6640, extension 2004; or visit www.auburnpubliclibrary.org.
