LEWISTON – Members of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will meet at noon Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Ramada Inn to hear a presentation by Christina Sklarz-Libby, program manager of Maine’s North Star Alliance Initiative.

The initiative is an industry-driven, industry-led collaborative focusing on the boat building, marine trade, composites sector. The mission of the USDOL-funded initiative is to retool and advance the workforce of the coastal region, while building on and strengthening the supporting industry cluster of the sector through technology advancement while launching a new regional economy.

She served as a development project officer managing the state’s Community Development Block Grant business loan portfolio and later as a business development specialist performing as the state’s front line authority, working one-on-one with companies, providing access to and assistance with utilization of local, state and federal economic development programs, services and personnel.
