LISBON – Two drivers were injured, one seriously, in a car-truck crash on Route 196 early Thursday afternoon.
Lisbon Police officer Ryan McGee identified the drivers as Jessie Jennings, 22, of Lisbon Falls, the most seriously injured, and Robert Patriquin Jr., 55, of Lewiston. Both were transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston by Lisbon Emergency.
Patriquin was listed in stable condition at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, a nursing supervisor said.
There was no information on Jennings, the supervisor added.
McGee said Patriquin was driving west on Route 196 toward Lewiston, and Jennings was exiting The Lamp Nursing Facility driveway onto Route 196. Her car was “T-boned” on the driver’s side, he said.
Lisbon and Lisbon Falls fire departments responded to the scene to clean up a large gas spill that resulted when the gas line on Jennings’ car ruptured, McGee said.
So far, police have not found any witnesses to the accident. McGee said several motorists drove around debris past the scene. It was also foggy and raining.
McGee asks anyone who witnessed the accident to phone Lisbon police at 353-2500.
Both Jennings’ 2005 Mazda and Patriquin’s 1992 Dodge Dakota pickup were totaled in the 12:15 p.m. crash.
