Young at Heart

AUBURN – The Young at Heart Fellowship will meet at noon Tuesday, March 27, to attend the Lenten service at the Court Street Baptist Church.

A luncheon will follow in the vestry. There will be a business meeting with President Winston Greaton presiding.

The program, a fashion how, will be presented by the Court Street Baptist Church Boutique. All senior citizens are welcome.

Lyme disease

AUBURN – A community discussion on Lyme disease will be held at the Auburn Public Library from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24. Topics will include prevention, symptoms, treatment and controversies. For more information, contact Sharon Hawkes at 344-0026.

Easter dinner

LEWISTON – Hope Haven Gospel Mission will provide a free Easter dinner for those in need between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at the mission, 209 Lincoln St. The meal will be available to shut-ins as well. All in need are welcome. Shut-ins who need a meal delivered should call 783-6086.


TURNER – Kindergarten registration for Turner residents will be held on Monday and Tuesday, April 23 and 24, at Turner Primary School. Those who have not made an appointment should call Pat or Jan at 225-3655. The child must be age 5 on or before Oct. 15. An original birth certificate and immunization records will be required at registration.

Bridge play

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on March 19 were: first, Allie and Tom Boyer; second, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Marta Clements and Luke Merry; fourth, Helen Little and Alberta Turner.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and a partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 783-1734 for information about all duplicate bridge games.
