Shawn Labonte of Sabattus was recently named to the dean’s list at Maine Maritime Academy, Castine, for outstanding academic achievement in the first semester of the 2006-2007 academic year. Students named to the dean’s list earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Labonte, a member of the class of 2008, is majoring in power engineering technology. He is a graduate of Oak Hill High School, Wales.
