LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met March 26 at Murray Hall with 35 members attending. The monthly SeniorsPlus meal was held prior to the meeting.
Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the armed forces. Mary Groleau led in singing “How Great Thou Art.”
Couture reported that Edith Leblanc had cataract surgery and members sent her a card. Tom Stevenson was on hand to sign up members for the Farm Share Program.
The Easter meal will be held Monday, April 2, and members will bring casseroles and other items, and there will be cake and ice cream for dessert.
“Happy Birthday” was sung to those celebrating birthdays in March: Yvette Chretien, Elvina Miller, Norman Duguay, Doris Wilson, Lorraine Cote, Margaret Richardson and Carmen Moreau.
The 50-50 was won by Athanase Couture. The meeting adjourned and cards were played.
