FALMOUTH – After trailing 9-1 after two innings, the Poland Knights got their offense in gear to rally and defeat Falmouth, 11-9.

Eric Picard and Tyler Merchant led the comeback with four RBIs apiece for Poland (7-1). Joe Douglass came in relief and gave up four hits while striking out six for the Knights. Falmouth (5-2) was paced by Sean McCarthy with a three RBIs.

Telstar 23, Carrabec 1

BETHEL – James Kimball allowed just two hits in five innings as Telstar pounded Carrabec 23-1.

The Rebels (5-3) were led by Andy Whitney with three hits and two RBIs, while Ryan Kimball added two hits and one RBI.

Lewiston 5, Leavitt 4

TURNER – Despite a three-run rally by Leavitt in the seventh inning, Lewiston hung on for a 5-4 victory over the Hornets.

The Blue Devils (4-3) were paced by Ryan Dube with two hits, while Eddie West and Dan Buzzell both belted doubles. Nick Blais picked up the mound win for Lewiston.

Livermore Falls 12, Boothbay 1

LIVERMORE FALLS – Freshman Willie Brown scattered two hits and struck out nine as Livermore Falls battered Boothbay 12-1.

Mike Durrell supplied all the offense the Andies (6-1) would need with four RBIs.

St. Dom’s 8, GN-G 2

GRAY – Andy and Aaron Allen combined skills on the mound Wednesday as St. Dom’s rolled to an 8-2 victory over Gray-New Gloucester.

Aaron Allen was pitching when the Saints (5-0) put four runs on the board in the third inning. Greg Labonte led St. Dom’s with two hits.

The Patriots (3-4) were paced by catcher Matt Moberg with three hits, highlighted by a pair of doubles.

Cony 12, Mt. Blue 4

FARMINGTON – Cony pulled away with 10 runs over the final four innings for a 12-4 victory over Mt. Blue.

Tom Daniels had a double, the lone extra-base hit for the Rams, who took advantage of six Mt. Blue errors. Mike Toothaker had two singles for the Cougars (2-6).

Jay 4, Dirigo 2

JAY – Ben Hebert broke a deadlock with a two-run single in the fourth inning, then came on in relief and escaped a bases-load jam to lead Jay to a 4-2 victory over Dirigo.

The Tigers (6-2) had just taken a 3-1 lead when Dirigo (5-3) scored once and loaded the bases with one out in the fifth. Hebert retired the next two hitters on a strikeout and fly out to end the threat.

Zane Armandi hit a solo home run in the first for Jay. Dirigo’s Jon Smith had two hits, including a double.

Gardiner 3, Oxford Hills 2

GARDINER – Kyle Stilphen scored the winning run with two outs in the seventh inning to lead Gardiner to a 3-2 victory over Oxford Hills.

The Vikings (8-1) took a 2-0 lead into the seventh behind Ben Goodall’s three-hitter.

After a run scored on a fielder’s choice, Seam McNally singled home the tying run before Stilphen scored on an infield error.

A pair of walks to Mark Henderson and Dylan Trundy led to the Vikings’ runs in the third. One scored on Dan Millett’s fielder’s choice, and Matt Verrier knocked in the second on a sacrifice fly.

Oak Hill 12, Waterville 1

WATERVILLE – Chris Ellis hurled seven innings of five-hit ball to lead Oak Hill to a 12-1 victory over Waterville.

The Raiders (5-4) were led by Ethan Guerrette with three hits and four RBIs, while Tom Edgecomb tallied three hits with two RBIs. Dustin Dubuc and Josh Jillson chipped in with two hits apiece.

Waterville (2-7) was paced by Joel Allen with an RBI double, while starter Josh Gaudet was tagged with the loss.

Mt. Ararat 12, EL 8

TOPSHAM – Tyler Suebert belted out two hits and had four RBIs to pace Mt. Ararat to a 12-8 victory over Edward Little. Jared Erdmann chipped in for the Eagles (4-5) with an RBI double.

The Red Eddies (1-7) were paced by Mike Muise with two hits and four RBIs, while Kyle Bussiere belted a pair of hits.

Lisbon 6, Hall-Dale 3

FARMINGDALE – Jason Blackwell smashed a two-run double in the seventh inning to lift Lisbon to a 6-3 victory over Hall-Dale.

Kyle Neagle chipped in for the Greyhounds (6-2) with two hits and one RBI, while reliever Frank Angelico earned his second win.

The Bulldogs (4-6) were paced by Dylon Dupont with two hits and one RBI, while Ryan Leach had one hit and two RBIs.

Lacrosse

St. Dom’s 11, Westbrook 10

AUBURN – Ben Adams scored with 3:33 remaining to rally St. Dom’s to its first victory of the year, 11-10 over Westbrook.

The Blue Blazes (1-7) led throughout the second half before Adams, who finished with four goals, scored the game-winner for the Saints (1-4). Aaron Manson and Andrew Gwarjanski chipped in with two goals apiece. Trevar Haefele made 18 saves.

Zach Welch led Westbrook with four goals, while Chris Marston and Layne Graffam had two each.

Hebron 9, Hyde 8

BATH – John Whalen and Roman Gosney netted three goals apiece to lead Hebron to a narrow 9-8 victory over Hyde in prep school boy’s lacrosse action Wednesday. Ryan Gormley, Carmine Zegarelli and Charlie Cummings also tallied for Hebron (9-1) to complete the scoring. Jon Gendron made 14 saves in net to notch the win.

Matt Box and David John paced Hyde (4-5) with three goals each, while Joe Moore tallied two and Jim Glevon added one.

Matt Fisher turned aside 16 shots in net.
