Golf: Senior PGA Championship

1 p.m., USA

With names on the leader board I actually recognize and might care to watch.

Tennis: NCAA Singles Championships

1 p.m., ESPN2

Ah, the school pride, the sense of achievement, the inside track to a No. 121 ranking on the tour in 2010.

NASCAR Nextel Cup: Coca-Cola 600 qualifying

2 p.m., Speed

It’s a 600-mile race. Does it matter where they start?

Major League Lacrosse: Boston at Long Island

7 p.m., ESPN2

Bates grad B.J. Majeski goes nationwide. This isn’t happening at an NFL or NBA game anytime soon.

NCAA Softball: Florida vs. Texas A&M

Can’t imagine why the NBA and NHL think Friday is a dead night for TV.

MLB: Red Sox at Rangers

8 p.m., NESN

Texas is playing sub-.400 baseball and can’t pitch its way out of a wet paper bag. Anyone else scared to death of this series? Good.

World Whitetail Challenge

8 p.m., Versus
