AUBURN – Pioneer Management Association, along with Pioneer Plastics, a subsidiary of Panolam Industries International Inc., has awarded scholarships to two.

Association President Timothy Talarico said PMA and Panolam awarded $1,000 in scholarships to two employees’ children. Scholarships of $500 each were awarded to Tiffany Kennison of West Paris and Lindsey Kinh Le of Auburn.

Kennison is enrolled at the University of Maine at Farmington and Le is enrolled at St. Joseph’s College in Standish.

Each applicant had to be enrolled in a two- or four-year undergraduate degree program and be a dependent child of a full-time Pionite, Auburn, employee. Applicants were also asked to write a 150-word essay on what they plan to do with their college education. The board of directors then read all the applicants and picked two.

Pioneer Plastics has been in Auburn since 1965 and employs 472 people.
