Bike rodeo

OTISFIELD – A bike safety rodeo will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 2, at Spurr’s Corner Fire Station. There will be bike inspections, free helmets, a bike safety course and a free pancake breakfast.

Each child must be accompanied by an adult. The event is sponsored by the Otisfield Fire Department public education team, Otisfield Volunteer Firefighters Association and Kerry Grover Memorial Fund.

On Wednesday, June 6, firefighters will visit the school and the students who bring in the most helmets for their class will win an ice cream sundae party. Winning will be based on the percentage of each class.

Garage sale

SUMNER – The Sumner Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will hold a garage, bake and plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at the fire station. Table space will be available for rent.

Society speaker

GREENWOOD – The Greenwood Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at its building on Main Street. Peter Lenz will present a program titled “Grave to Cradle.” Everyone is welcome.

Yard sale

HEBRON – A 20-family yard sale will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at the Hebron Town Office, Paris Road. Proceeds will benefit the outreach programs of the Hebron Community Baptist Church.

In case of rain, the sale will move to the church on Station Road. For details, call Marian Hall at 966-2663.

The church will celebrate Friendship Sunday on June 3. Members are invited to bring a friend to the 10 a.m. worship service led by Pastor Meredith Dalessandro. It will be followed by a fellowship hour with refreshments. Child care will be provided.
