CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – New Hampshire officials are looking into whether at least 22 of the registered sex offenders with profiles on the Internet site MySpace violated parole or probation.

Attorney General Kelly Ayotte says 153 registered sex offenders in the state have profiles on the site and yesterday, Corrections Commissioner William Wrenn said at least 22 of them are on probation or parole. The department will investigate whether the Internet postings put them in violation.

Ayotte is concerned that sex offenders may be using the site to victimize children.

Corrections officials still are checking if others on the New Hampshire list are on probation or parole.
