LISBON FALLS – Lisbon Junior Athletic League recently hosted its second-annual opening day festivities for youth baseball and softball.

The day kicked off with a parade, including players from T-ball, Farm League, Minor League, Cal Ripken, Ponytail League and Junior Softball. Lisbon Fire Department color guard led the parade. Cheyenne Cameron began the opening ceremonies by singing the national anthem. Norman Hall announced the team rosters for all leagues.

Roger Lavalle, Stan Doughty, Marty Roop and David Hale each threw out the honorary first pitches.

Events also includes baseball and softball league contests, bounce houses, kids’ games and a dunk tank.

T-Ball farthest hit: 1. Noah Austin, 2. Cameron Walton, 3. Kiley Merritt; Farm League farthest throw: 1. Corey Harvey, 2. Andrew Keil, 3. Nathan Havlicek; Pony Tail League farthest throw: 1. Kaylin Hill, 2. Alison Bubar, 3. Chandler Riordan; Minor League farthest hit: 1. Jeff Willey, 2. Tucker Brannon, 3. Cameron Wallace Jr.; Softball home run derby: 1. Kayla Angelico, 2. Chantel Bisson, 3. Olivia Harrington; Cal Ripken home run derby: 1. Derek Lycette, 2. Ryan Riordan, 3. Cody Wells; Raffle winners: Cam Ramich (Red Sox tickets), Carol Leclair (DownEast Energy gift card), Sam Ramich (Hairs To You gift bag), Heather Ventry (50/50), Marc Bubar (Dick’s Sporting Goods golf ball set).
