RUMFORD – The River Valley Technology Center, the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce will present How To Achieve “Knock Your Socks Off” Customer Service on Aug. 15.

The second in the series of Business Lunch and Learn seminars will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the River Valley Technology Center, 60 Lowell St., Rumford.

The cost is $10 and includes lunch. River Valley Chamber of Commerce members pay $8. Prepayment is required; there will be no refunds issued. The presenter will be Diane Ray, founder and principal of Partnerships for Innovation, a firm specializing in creative processes for various business objectives, from new product development to strategic planning. She holds a master’s degree in business administration.

The seminar is aimed at businesspeople to help them understand what their customers think and how the employees’ actions affect repeat business. Attendees will learn about: first and last impressions, courtesy and attitude, telephone skills, whether the customer is always right, and doing the right thing – ethically.

The workshop will drive home how customer service can affect profits, and each person will leave with a personal service action plan.

The Lunch and Learn seminars are intended to provide information to entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing businesses affordably, and facilitate networking among businesses or entrepreneurs in similar activities.
