LEWISTON – Sara MacKenzie, a computer consultant with a desire to work with people, recently opened Sara’s Simple Solutions, a business that offers in-home assistance to anyone with computer questions or problems.

MacKenzie said she started the business because she knew so many people, especially senior citizens and retired people, who didn’t know where to turn for simple help on their computers.

She can explain everything from simply getting on and using the Internet, to downloading files and pictures, printing, and how to use programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more. She also offers help in setting up a new computer.

She said her goal is to help people understand their computer, sitting with them in their home and walking them through the basics of their computer in a comfortable setting.

MacKenzie graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor of science degree in leadership and organizational studies, and a minor in information systems. She has an associate’s degree in computer applications and a diploma in accounting from Mid-State College.
