CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Trap shooting, rifle sighting and a western-style barbecue will highlight an open house on Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Carrabassett Valley Outdoor Association’s shooting range on Route 27.
“If you haven’t seen the range for awhile, it’s worth the trip just to view the transformation that has taken place there,” said CVOA President Neal Trask, “or to experience a real, live western barbecue served up by a real life Texan.”
The range, located 1.7-miles north of the Sugarloaf Acess Road, will be open to CVOA members and the general public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Members and guests are invited to try their hand at trap shooting, or use the range, all without charge.
Trask and committee members will be on hand to show shooters the basics.
