SOUTH PARIS – Junior midfielder Ethan Grund notched the eventual game-winner as Edward Little blanked Oxford Hills 2-0 in KVAC boys’ soccer action Friday.

Grund picked up a through ball and put it into the lower left corner of the net 13 minutes into the second half for the Red Eddies (6-3-1). Senior striker Shea Flynn added an insurance goal for Edward Little.

Goalie Josh Mains collected six saves for the Red Eddies, while Joe Rood turned aside 14 shots for the Vikings (1-7-2).

Waynflete 4, Poland 1

POLAND – Lucas O’Neil scored a pair of first half goals to help lift Waynflete to a 4-1 victory over Poland in boys soccer action.

Tristan Corriveau put Waynflete on the board first with an unassisted goal followed by O’Neil’s goals to make it 3-0 at halftime. Junior midfielder Joe Murphy put the Knights (0-10-1) on the board with a score in the second half.

Hassa Jeylani rounded out the scoring.

Keeper Chris Gillespie stopped three shots for the Flyers (5-3-1). Sophomore Mike Littlefield collected 20 saves while in net for the Knights. Terrance Welch relieved Littlefield and stopped all four shots he faced.
