FREEPORT – Ali Desjardins scored both St. Dom’s goals, including the game-winner 1:36 into overtime action to lead the Saints to a 2-1 victory over Freeport in girls’ soccer action Thursday.

Freeport got on the board first, with a goal by Kristen Poulin in the first half. Desjardins tied the game for St. Dom’s in the second half after firing a shot crossed from Erynne Landry. The overtime goal was one-timed to the midfield by Jess Chamberlin. Elise Applegate buckled down in goal for St. Dom’s , making 19 saves to preserve the win.

Boys’ Soccer

Freeport 4, St. Dom’s 1

AUBURN – Drew Taggart registered a hat trick en route to Freeport’s 4-1 win over St. Dom’s in WMC soccer action.

St. Dom’s opened the scoring at 15:40 into the game when Jack Erickson headed-in a ball at the far post that was crossed to him by Will Emerson.

The Saints held Freeport scoreless for 12 minutes before Taggart tied the game. Taggart would go on to net two more in the second half, while Matt Ayers rounded out the scoring effort.

Reid Christian made nine saves in the Freeport win, while Aaron Allen ended the contest with six saves for St. Doms.

Mt. Abam 4, Hall-Dale 1

SALEM – Four different players scored as Mt. Abram posted a 4-1 victory over Hall-Dale.

Tucker Lander, Sterling Hook, Alex Crossman, and Andy Carlton each scored for the Roadrunners (11-2-3).

Goalie Sam Simpson needed to make four saves to preserve the win.

Hall-Dale’s (4-9-2) lone goal came off a Mt. Abram own goal, but was credited to Mike St. Pierre.

Holderness 4, Hebron 1

HOLDERNESS, NH – Matthew Gayle tallied a pair of goals and was credited with an assist as Holderness beat Hebron 4-1 in boys soccer action.

Dan Martin tallied a goal off a penalty kick, while Ryan Webster rounded out the Holderness (3-5-1) scoring within the final minutes of the contest.

For Hebron (1-3-3), Cam Laurie netted the lone goal.
