AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the American Legion Hall, 425 Washington St., for a Halloween luncheon following the meeting.

Members may dress in Halloween costumes, with a prize awarded to the one wearing the most original costume. Tickets will be on sale for the Thanksgiving dinner at Auburn United Methodist Church for $7 to take place on Nov. 4. Tickets are also on sale for the Christmas dinner for $8 at the Ramada Inn on Dec. 12.

This will be the last chance to buy the tickets as there are no meetings in November and December because of the upcoming holidays. Lists of members at dinner tables should be prepared and given to Lucy Cowles for the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

At the meeting, final voting will take place for the officers selected to fill the positions for the upcoming year. Dues for 2008 may be paid. There will be the usual raffle table and bingo will be played after lunch.

At the Oct. 10 meeting, 56 members were present, with President Merry Strout presiding. Due to her continuing illness at home, it was reported that Kaye Houston was unable to attend. A moment of silence was observed in memory of Pearl Sirois, recently deceased, led by Chaplain Patricia Donohue. Members took a bus trip to Rockport on Oct. 4.

Following the meeting, a successful food auction was held with Alwin Strout as auctioneer. Attendance prize winners were Pamela Carrier and Birdena Whittle; pot of gold, Helen McGuire, Wallace Dixon and Caroline Chapman.
