Twice a year, once in September and once in February, New York becomes a haven for fashion designers to reveal their latest collections. Bryant Park, located in New York City, is transformed into a fashionista’s paradise for the massive event, including 12,000 square foot tents equipped with runway floors and hundreds of seats for each attendee.

In the month of September, designers show off their spring collections while the fall collections are unveiled in February. Not anyone can get into this fashion soirée being as how each show is invitation only with every designer being responsible for his or her guest list. The public may only become aware of the newest fashions to look out for by the articles and photographs released by fashion journalists, taking down notes as models walk down the runway.
