RYE, N.H. (AP) – Three men face felony charges over allegations they tortured and decapitated a rabbit at a beach last summer.
The men, 36-year-old Robert Freeman of Plainfield, Conn., 26-year-old Kevin Lynch of Milton, Mass., and 32-year-old William West of Saugus, Mass., have been indicted by a Rockingham County grand jury.
Authorities say they were first notified of the alleged incident in August, when someone called police to say they had seen people abusing a rabbit at Odiorne State Park in Rye. Police said days later a video posted on YouTube appeared to be a recording of the incident.
