PROVIDENCE. R.I. (AP) – A Pawtucket medical billing company is giving a new meaning to the spirit of giving.

Priority Management Group celebrates the Christmas season by giving 13 employees $300 each. But it’s no ordinary bonus. The employees are expected to give the money away, however they see fit.

In return, the workers must agree to tell their stories at an annual company meeting.

PMG co-founder Richard Santilli says it’s interesting to hear about the different ways the employees came up with to spread the money around.

Those included handing cash to random strangers, buying Christmas presents for nursing home residents who have no families, buying coffee for veterans and helping a family endure their first Christmas after the death of a loved one.
