The Auburn-Lewiston 5th and 6th grade boys’ travel team got back on the winning track by defeating Skowhegan 55-22 in a CMBC contest. Every Y player scored, with Bryce Gibson leading the way with 10 points and Cameron Cormier adding 9. Luke Sterling and Andrew Gosselin each had 6, while Llewellyn Jensen, Corey Henderson, Ian Mileikis, Nate Alexander, and Seth Sterling added 4 points apiece. Steve Ouellette had 2 and Madison Jalbert and Kaileb Tremaine 1 each.
The A-L boys later defeated Winslow 47-41 to improve its record to 4-1. Cormier lead the way with 14 points, while Henderson added 12. Jensen chipped in 8, while Gosselin scored 6. Mileikis 3, Sterling and Ouellette 2 each.
A/L YMCA 5th-6th girls
AUBURN – Auburn YMCA 5th and 6th grade girls remained unbeaten with a 41-21 victory over Lewiston Recreation.
Auburn had a balanced offense with Brooke Reynolds 8, Kennedy Hubbard 8, Tianna Harriman 9, Kory Norcross 7, and Katie Novella, Calli Murry, Molly Murry, and Laurianne Murphy 2 each. Lewiston scorers were Bolduc 12, Crenshaw 4, Talarico 1, Fogarty 1 and Jamesian 3.
