BOOTHBAY (AP) – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a collision that claimed three lives in Boothbay.

Investigators say Phillip Peters was driving a pickup truck that crossed into the path of an oncoming sport utility vehicle, causing a head-on collision Wednesday night on Route 27.

Deputies say the occupants of the SUV, 63-year-old Linda Farnham and 65-year-old David Farnham, died at the scene. Peters, who was 33, was pronounced dead at Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor.

All three were from Boothbay. The crash remains under investigation.
