I attended the high school state championship hockey game March 8 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. It was Lewiston High School against Biddeford High School. I was there to support the Lewiston team.
Although it was a very well played game by both teams, Lewiston did not win. The team played very well and had a great season.
I applaud the Lewiston High School hockey team, as well as the coaching staff.
The reason I am writing this letter is because while I was there, I noticed something very important. I wonder if the Lewiston Maineiacs organization noticed it, too – there was not an empty seat in the building, plus many people were standing in the four corners of the arena.
I know that is not the case with Maineiacs’ home games.
I attend many games each year and enjoy having this team in our city. I know I would attend many more games if only one thing changed. And I am sure that practically every seat at every game in the Colisee would be filled if that one thing changed. My suggestion: lower ticket prices.
