Western Maine Labor Council, AFL-CIO, President Don Berry presented a donation of $400 to Museum L-A Executive Director Rachel Desgrosseilliers during a recent meeting held at the museum’s headquarters in the Bates Mill Complex. From left are Desgrosseilliers; Don Bilodeau of Bath Iron Works; Berry; Matt Schlobohm of the Maine AFL-CIO; Joe Mailey of Sheet Metal Local 17; and Bob Burns of IBEW-1837. Museum L-A will again co-sponsor the Labor Council’s Workers Memorial Day Observance and May Day Breakfast on Saturday, April 26. Last year’s inaugural event drew 150 union members and their allies to memorialize workers who died on the job and mark past and present events in the labor movement.
