Easter egg hunt
SUMNER – The Mothers’ Community Club of Sumner has invited all the children of SAD 39 to the annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at the East Sumner Congo Church, Main Street.
Children should bring their own Easter basket and dress for the weather. The Easter Bunny will make a visit. For more information, contact Lee Berry at 388-2181.
Tent to install
NORWAY – Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the home of Marilyn Jones. Installation of new officers will take place. For more information, contact Marilyn at 743-8296.
Visit changed
PARIS – Maine children’s author Lynn Plourde will visit the Paris Public Library at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, presenting a program open to the community’s children.
Her visit, scheduled for March 19, was postponed to March 26 due to bad weather.
In cooperation between the Paris Elementary School PTO and the Paris Public Library, Plourde, author of more than 16 books for children, will visit the school and the library.
During her visit to the library, Plourde will do an interactive reading with several of her books and answer questions about being a children’s author.

Dance club
PARIS – The Swinging Bears Square Dance Club will hold a class ball from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street, Paris.
John Thompson, club caller, will call easy mainstream for this year’s class members and plus level at intermission. Carol Stewart will cue for the round dancing. Cost is $10 a couple, $5 single. Refreshments will be available at intermission. Nondancers are invited to watch at no charge.
