LEWISTON – As many as 500 people are expected to participate Saturday in a walk to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The walk will begin at 9 a.m., starting at the Lewiston High School gymnasium and meandering through the city.

Walkers will move along a route up East Avenue to Central Avenue, College Street and Campus Avenue. They will cross Russell Street and also Sabattus Street where it intersects with Central Avenue.

Police will be on hand to direct traffic, but they advise motorists who travel those routes to consider alternatives on Saturday morning.
