Today in school and in the media we all hear a lot of talk about evolution. To many people evolution is the answer to why we are here today, but to many others the answer is God created us all. What are we supposed to believe when we hear both of these statements?
Only a few months ago my sister had a question that she was really confused about. One day during Religion class at her school a priest was teaching the class and the topic of evolution came up. The priest responded that he believed in evolution. After that class my sister became very confused, because the Bible states that God created man and all of the earth. She asked my father what he thought of the topic. His response was the same as the Bible, that God created the earth and everything living on it today.
My father thought that it would be a good idea to ask our parish’s priest the same question to find out his response. This is what I found to be a very interesting response. When my sister asked our priest the question his response was that since God created the world he could have chosen how thing were created. It is possible that we look the way we do today, through evolution. If God wanted to, he could have created the world he wanted and then over time changed us to look the way we do today.
In conclusion, I believe that God being our creator could have done anything he wanted to do, anything is possible from God. I personally still believe what the Bible says on how we were all created the way we are by God.
