WALES – Deidra Dubuc and Sarah Albert combined for six hits and three RBIs to lead Oak Hill to a 4-0 softball victory over previously unbeaten Maranacook.

Brittany Wood gave up four hits in seven innings to notch the shutout for Oak Hill (6-1). Wood also helped her own cause at the plate with an RBI double.

Lewiston 8, Morse 7

LEWISTON – Sam Morency’s two-run homer in the sixth inning lifted Lewiston (8-2) to an 8-7 victory over stubborn Morse (2-7).

In the sixth, the Shipbuilders were leading 7-5 when Carley Denis got on base with a single and then scored when Erica Morin grounded out. Tricia DeFosse then walked and quickly came home on Morency’s two-run blast.

Denis had three hits, including a homer in the fourth inning. Winning pitcher Danielle Willey belted a single and double.

The Blue Devils were leading 5-0 going into the fourth when Morse exploded with six runs to take a one-run lead.

Leavitt 5, Mt. Ararat 4

TURNER – Consecutive doubles by Paige Dyer and Heidi Swett produced the winning run with one out in the seventh inning to lift Leavitt to a 5-4 victory over Mt. Ararat.

Leavitt (2-8) rallied from a 4-2 deficit, tying the game in the sixth on Kassara Varney’s two-run double. The Hornets finished with five doubles, including Liz Sabine and Kasey Akers. Alevia Bradley scattered four hits and struck out four for the win.

Miranda Riendeau had a double for Mt. Ararat (4-6).

Brewer 8, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON – Amanda Ryan hurled seven innings of five-hit ball and drew ample run support as Brewer rolled over Mt. Blue 8-0.

Dominque DeFillip led the Witches with two hits and two RBIs, while Leah Jackson and Allie DeFillip also belted a pair of hits.

Kelly Yardley and Amelia Allen led the Cougars (2-8) with two hits apiece.

Wiscasset 16, Liv. Falls 13

LIVERMORE FALLS – Pitcher Michelle Miele led the offense with four hits, including a double and triple, to lead Wiscasset to a 16-13 victory over Livermore Falls.

Wiscasset (4-3) built a 12-1 lead in the third inning before the Andies (3-6) fought back. Whitney McDaniel led Livermore Falls with three hits, including a double and triple. Jenny Freemand and Souther also hit triples. Brittany Souther and Kathrynn Lake had two hits each.

Telstar 18, Winthrop 0

BETHEL – Kayla Merrill threw a no-hitter Wednesday and went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Telstar to an 18-0 victory over Winthrop.

Vicki Crockett-Rice led the Rebels (6-1) with four hits and five RBIs, while Merrill tallied three hits and three RBIs. Whitney Mills contributed with three hits, while Abby Hutchins and Hannah Morin had two each. Merrill struck out 12 batters in her no-hit performance.

St. Dom’s 8, OOB 1

AUBURN – Jenn Cullen gave up three hits and drew ample run support as St. Dom’s handed Old Orchard Beach a 8-1 defeat.

Mary Lewis led the Saints (6-1) with two hits and five RBIs, highlighted by a double and a triple. Erynne Landry belted a pair of hits, while Kelsey Murphy ripped a solo home run in the fourth inning.

Oxford Hills 6, EL 2

AUBURN – Kristy Jurczak hurled seven innings of five-hit softball Wednesday as Oxford Hills rolled to a 6-2 victory over Edward Little.

Megan Gauger and EmmyLou Blake led the Vikings (7-3) with RBI doubles.

The Eddies (3-7) were paced by Emily Grund with two hits overall, while Miranda Martin was saddled with the loss.

Lake Region 3, Poland 2

POLAND – Lake Region scored twice in the first inning and never trailed in a 3-2 victory over Poland.

Pitcher Jesse Hutchins hit two doubles for the Lakers (5-5). Angie Adams knocked in the game-winning run in the sixth.

Kristy Gray and Kacie-Rae Ford had RBI singles for Poland (3-7). Danielle Fogg added a double.

Lacrosse

Hebron 16, Gould 6

HEBRON – Shelly Bolduc recorded four goals as Hebron coasted to a 16-6 triumph over Gould in girls’ lacrosse action Wednesday.

The Lumberjacks jumped out to a 10-2 halftime lead. Lisa Terklesen and Sarah Markey scored a hat trick each.

Chelsea O’Brien collected both of the Huskies’ first half goals.
