AUBURN – Junior second baseman Casey Parker roped a three-run triple in the sixth inning as St. Dom’s avenged its only loss of the year with a 14-4 victory over Old Orchard Beach in WMC baseball action Wednesday.

Junior left fielder Richard Paradis also contributed three RBIs for the Saints (7-1).

The Seagulls closed the score to within three, 7-4, with a four-run rally in the top of the fifth inning. Mike Grindatti provided a two-run single the frame.

Livermore Falls 10, Wiscasset 0

LIVERMORE FALLS – Zach Keene hurled six innings of one-hit ball and was heavily supported at the plate, as Livermore Falls got back on track with a 10-0 victory over Wiscasset.

Josh Tainter set the tone with a two-run home run in the first inning. Tainter led the Andies (7-2) with three hits and three RBIs, while Kevin Gats, Willy Brown and Ryan Jackson all belted two hits each.

Lewiston 6, Morse 1

LEWISTON – Joe Sullivan struck out six batters in four innings and Chris Jacques’s second hit of the game knocked in the second of three runs in the fourth inning to lead Lewiston to a 6-1 triumph over Morse.

The game was tied at 1-1 when Lewiston (6-4) took command in the fourth. After the go-ahead run scored on a passed ball, Jacques followed with his RBI single. Jacques and Rob Leeman had two gits apiece for the Devils.

At one point, Sullivan struck out five consecutive hitters. Mike Walton took the loss for Morse (1-9).

Brewer 13, Mt. Blue 2

FARMINGTON – Chase Daniels gave up nine hits and was backed by a strong offense as Brewer pounded Mt. Blue 13-2 Wednesday.

Caleb Smith sparked a six-run first inning for the Witches (9-1) with an RBI triple. Eric White, Colby Hutchins and Caleb Smith all belted RBI doubles for Brewer.

Alec Wallace led the Cougars (2-8) with an RBI double, while Bobby Duley belted two hits.

Winthrop 14, Telstar 1

BETHEL – Tyler Cobb went 3-for-4 with five RBIs and a home run to propel Winthrop to a 14-1 victory over Telstar in MVC baseball action Wednesday.

The Ramblers (8-1) jumped out to a 12-1 lead after just three innings. Pitcher Jake Steele collected two strikeouts, while giving up four hits and four walks in the winning effort.

Lisbon 22, Madison 0

LISBON – Four different players collected three hits apiece as Lisbon blanked Madison 22-0 in MVC baseball action Wednesday.

Frank Angelico went 3-for-4 with five RBIs for the Greyhounds (6-2), while earning the pitching victory with eight strikeouts, five hits and one walk. Andy Ouellette was perfect at the plate with three hits, including a triple.

Lucas Lane was the only repeat hitter for the Bulldogs (1-7) with a pair of singles.

Mt. Ararat 7, Leavitt 6

TURNER – Anthony Farrell ripped an RBI single in the ninth inning to lift Mt. Ararat to a 7-6 victory over Leavitt in a KVAC baseball tilt Wednesday.

Farrell led the Eagles (6-4) with four hits and three RBIs, while Kyle Cyr and Matt Randall belted two hits apiece. Taylor Ross picked up the mound win, coming on to relieve Jared Erdman in the seventh.

The Hornets (2-8) were paced by Dan Buzzell, Nick Letourneau and Steven Roullard with two hits each. Dave Cleary was saddled with the loss.

Monmouth 12, Jay 1

JAY – Josh Boisvert threw seven innings of three-hit baseball Wednesday as Monmouth overpowered Jay 12-1 in a MVC matchup.

Eric Smith led the Mustangs (6-3) with two hits and four RBIs, while Ronnie Hobson, Mac Tozier and Jeremy Ashlock also belted two hits each.

The Tigers (5-4) were paced by Rocky DeSanctis and catcher Nick Bourassa with doubles.

Dirigo 14, Carrabec 1

NORTH ANSON – Junior Whitey Moulton pitched four innings of shutout ball to earn the win as Dirigo bounded to a 14-1 triumph over Carrabec in MVC baseball action Wednesday.

Moulton collected five strikeouts, while giving up only two hits and a walk. Senior center fielder Derek Daley had a fine outing on defense, but was even more impressive on offense with four runs, two RBIs and an in-the-park home run for the Cougars (8-1).

Oak Hill 12, Camden Hills 11

WALES – Tyler Gagnon drilled a shot into the net with 2:30 left in regulation to lift Oak Hill to a 12-11 victory over Camden Hills in local boy’s lacrose action Wednesday.

Nick Brown led the Raiders (7-2) with four goals, while Jake Girard added three goals and dished off six assists. Tyler Pomerleau chipped in with two goals, while single tallies by Tyler Gagnon, Zack Provost and Drew Jannelle completed the scoring. Dan Fontaine made 23 saves in net to preserve the win.

Camden Hills (1-6) was paced by Adam Ithamitus with three goals, while Evan Biancki turned aside 16 shots between the posts.

Hebron 15, Gould 1

HEBRON – Bobby Thoits netted six goals as Hebron routed Gould 15-1 in boys’ lacrosse action Wednesday.

The Lumberjacks (13-3) came alive in the middle of the contest, scoring 11 points in the second and third quarters. CJ Estes contributed three goals, while Malik Garvin collected one goal and five assists.
