Women’s group to hold clinic on self-defense

PARIS – The Western Maine Women’s Connection will host a self-defense clinic from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Northeast Academy, South Paris.

May’s event brings an opportunity for women to learn self-defense and awareness and inspire strength and support.

Oxford Hills Karate’s self-defense team combines years of professional training with a passion for sharing skills. It has been run by Mariel Geiger for 16 years and includes several black belt instructors.

The Western Maine Women’s Connection is a nonprofit networking group that brings women together across western Maine. Monthly events provide a variety of professional presentations from business to health and recreation.
