THORNDIKE – Tyler Miles drove in the winning run with two out in the bottom of the seventh as Mt. View edged Oak Hill, 2-1, in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference baseball Monday.

Miles, who threw a five-hitter to pick up the win on the mound, also had a double for Mt. View.

Trailing 1-0, Oak Hill (4-7) scored its lone run in the fifth when Joey Morneau reached on a leadoff walk, was sacrificed to second and scored on Bretty Turcotte’s single.

Ben Rines pitched well in defeat, scattering nine hits and walking one while fanning two.

Softball

Oak Hill 10, Mt. View 0

THORNDIKE – Becca Roberts had three hits, including a solo home run during an eight-run uprising, to lead Oak Hill to a 10-0 softball victory over Mt. View.

The Raiders (9-3) were clinging to a 2-0 advantage before the offense came to life in the sixth. Stacy Light, Lauren Hall, Deidra Dubuc and Roberts all had doubles for Oak Hill. Dubuc joined Roberts with three hits, while Sarah Albert and Natalie Caron both had two hits. Hall struck out 12 in five innings.

Terri Belcher hit a double for Mt. View (3-9).
