LISBON – Following a public hearing Thursday, the Planning Board approved a flood hazard development permit application for the Maine Electronics property, paving the way for a pilot project to replace a groundwater filter at its on-site treatment plant.
The larger 150-foot wide filter will be monitored for six months and if it’s found satisfactory, it will be be replaced by 500-foot wide filter. The project is expected to get under way in September.
Also approved by planners, after a public hearing, was a change in the frontage requirements ordinance in limited residential zones, reducing it from the current 75 feet to 50 feet.
