Store cleanout

STARKS – On Friday and Saturday, Aug. 1 and 2, there will be a “Clean Out the Back Room of the Thrift Store” yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting, on the lawn of the thrift store at the intersection of Chicken Street and Locke Hill Road. Items and clothing will be priced low.

Vacation school

LIVERMORE FALLS – The Church of the Nazarene is getting revved up for Vacation Bible School, with a theme of “Custom Garage, Loving God, Serving Others,” Monday through Saturday, Aug. 11 to 16, at 6 Wheeler St.

The school, for ages 4 to 12, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, ending with a party in the parking lot.

Activities will include a barbecue, snow cones, bouncy truck, games and prizes and an antique car show. All are welcome. Phone 897-2301 or 897-2061 to register.

Alumni to meet

FARMINGTON – The Farmington Area Alumni Association will hold its annual meeting and banquet on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Mt. Blue High School. The social hour will begin at 4 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6.

Fifteen scholarship recipients for 2007 will be recognized. There will be a brief business meeting.

All Farmington High School and Mt. Blue graduates with their guests are welcome. There will be room for last-minute drop-ins.
